Frangipane Almond King Cake (with small porcelain figure inside)

A cherished cake enjoyed during the Epiphany festivities, our Galette des Rois is handcrafted in France with premium ingredients and filled generously with a delightful almond cream filling known as frangipane. Each bite unveils a rich and comforting flavor profile, a perfect festive touch to your celebrations!
French tradition dictates the Galette des Rois as being baked with a figurine inside. From there, the cake is sliced and distributed randomly by the youngest attendee. Whoever receives the slice containing the figure becomes king/queen and gets to wear a crown for the night!
Baking Instructions:
Thaw the cake for 1 hour and 15 minutes at room temperature. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Bake the king cake for 25-30 minutes at 400°F (200°C). Finish baking at 350°F for another 15-20 minutes. Slice and serve! Please note that these instructions are indicative, baking and temperature may depend on the type of oven used.
